Hiker reports indecent exposure incident at Beamer Memorial Conservation Area in Grimsby

A concerning incident that unfolded on Sept. 7, at the Beamer Memorial Conservation Area in Grimsby, where a woman was subjected to an indecent act by an unidentified man.

According to the Niagara Regional Police Service,  officers responded to a distress call from the victim, who was hiking the trail between 9:00 – 9: 30 a.m.

When she noticed a man ahead of her on the same path.

As the man drew closer, he allegedly exposed his genitalia and engaged in an indecent act, causing immediate distress to the victim.

Police say, the woman left the area, making her way back to her car which was parked in a designated lot off Quarry Road within the conservation area.

Subsequently. she dialed 911 to report the incident to local authorities. However, police were unable to locate the suspect in the vicinity.

Authorities are now seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man involved.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 40 years of age, with blonde/grey hair.

He is tall and is medium build. At the time of the incident, the suspect was reportedly wearing a blue striped polo-style T-shirt and dark pants.

In light of this incident, officials are urging all visitors to the Beamer Memorial Conservation Area to exercise caution and remain vigilant.
