Highway traffic in Oakville diverted after pedestrian hit by driver

Highway traffic in Oakville was diverted late on Friday night after a pedestrian was struck by a driver.
The Ontario Provincial Police say the westbound Hwy. 401 was closed at Martin Street as a result of the collision. Traffic was diverted on to Hwy. 25.

Multiple reports said a person injured at the scene had no vital signs.

Collisions on 400-series highways are often investigated by a collision reconstruction team and it can take several hours for the road to reopen.
