The early-evening commute in Hamilton and Burlington was complicated by a collision early Friday evening.

Real-time data shows that the off-ramp from the Fort Erie-bound Queen Elizabeth Way highway to Eastport Drive is inaccessible due to a collision. The same goes for the on-ramp to Northshore Boulevard in Burlington.

The exit and entry points are a particularly busy at all times of day, leading drivers into both cities.

UPDATE: all lanes reopened shortly before 11 p.m. on Friday, nearly five hours after the crash.

Real-time data about closures can be obtained on Twitter, at 511Ontario, or online at 511on.ca.
