UPDATE: Highway lanes in Pickering closed due to vehicle fire

Multiple lanes of a major highway in Pickering were closed for about one hour late on Thursday night due to a vehicle fire.
The rightmost two lanes, as well as the shoulder, of eastbound Highway 401, are blocked at Brock Road due to the the emergency situation. The Ministry of Transportation first reported the situation at around 9:45 p.m., and at one point there were three lanes that were blocked.
Shortly after 10:45 p.m., the lanes reopened.
