Highway closures in St. Catharines, in both directions
Published February 24, 2022 at 7:53 pm
A crash involving a tractor-trailer closed a portion of Highway 406 in St. Catharines near the Burgoyne Bridge on Thursday night.
As of 7:40 p.m., 511on.ca was reporting that a collision on the southbound 406 at St. Paul St. W. and the Burgoyne Bridge had led to the left shoulder and left lane being closed. As of 8:52 p.m., all lanes on the northbound 406 were closed.
There are also indications that the cause of the closures involved a tractor-trailer striking the centre-median guardrail of the highway. The truck lost some of its load, leading to debris being spread across both sides of the highway.
