Highway closure in effect due to large police investigation in Mississauga

A police investigation is underway this afternoon (Jan. 28) in Mississauga.

Peel Regional Police have confirmed a large presence of officers in the area of Mavis Road and Hwy. 403.

The reason for the investigation has not been disclosed at this time.

One lane on the off-ramp to Mavis is currently closed. Drivers may want to avoid the area until further notice.

The investigation was prompted shortly before 3:00 p.m.
