All lanes were closed on Highway 401 this morning near Pearson Airport in Mississauga.
The closure came after a two-vehicle crash on the highway in the Carlingview Drive area around 5:30 a.m. this morning (Oct. 3), OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said on X (formerly Twitter).
Sadly, a 64-year-old man from Toronto died in hospital following the crash, Schmidt said.
All lanes were closed at Carlingview Drive and all express lanes were closed at the Highway 401 westbound Dixie Road transfer and the Renforth Drive on-ramp to Highway 401.
As of around 7:30 a.m. all westbound collector lanes were blocked for the police investigation into the crash.
