HIGHWAY CLOSED: Multi-vehicle crash north of Brampton sends victims to hospital

Police have closed both northbound and southbound lanes of an Ontario highway following a serious, multi-vehicle crash north of Brampton.

Shortly after 4 p.m. on Monday, the OPP said multiple vehicles had crashed on Highway 10 in the area of Charleston Sideroad in Caledon.

Police say three vehicles were involved in the crash, and a spokesperson for Peel Regional Paramedic Services said three people were injured.

One victim was taken to a trauma centre while two others were rushed to local hospital in life-threatening condition, paramedics say. No additional details about the victims were immediately available.

Police have closed Highway 10 northbound at Charleston Sideroad and southbound at Beech Grove Sideroad while emergency crews are on the scene. Drivers are being told to avoid the area and find alternate routes if possible.
