Highway 401 in Mississauga closed after collision involving 2 tractor trailers

A stretch of Highway 401 in Mississauga is closed Thursday morning after an overnight collision that injured two men.

Peel paramedics say one of the men suffered life-threatening injuries.

Emergency crews responded to the area of Highway 401 West at Mavis Rd. at around 2 a.m.

The collision reportedly involved two tractor trailers.

Westbound express lanes west of Hurontario to Mavis are also closed.

The clean-up is still in progress and say it still will be a couple of hours before it opens back up.
