Now that December is finally here, the holiday celebrations won’t stop from now until January 1 and the City of Mississauga is getting ready to ring in 2018 with the city’s biggest party of the year.

This year’s NYE 2018 event, which will be held at Celebration Square, boasts a commendable lineup of Canadian talent–as well as the food trucks, fireworks and other events that residents both young and old look forward to all year.

There will also be a slew of musical performances.

The mainstage will feature a headlining performance from DJ Shaun Frank, who will be performing live with Delaney Jane.

The night will also feature performances from other local favourites, including up and coming pop group Honors, Mississauga rising star Kiki Rowe and electro-trio Wolf Saga. These acts will be on hand to warm up the mainstage, starting at 9:00 p.m.

As for other music, note that DJ Bianca Lee will keep you moving all night long.

The night’s festivities will be hosted by inSauga.com’s own Khaled Iwamura and TV personality Scott Willats.

Naturally, there will be skating–so be sure to bring your skates if you want to work up an appetite before visiting one of several popular food trucks.

The city will be counting down to the midnight and ringing in 2018 with a fireworks finale, presented by Tim Hortons.
