The opening dates have been revealed for new locations of The Beer Store in Toronto.

The company previously announced that it will be opening two new stores in Toronto in time for Canada Day.

One will be located at 1089 Kingston Road in Scarborough, which is near Victoria Park Avenue.

The other will be at 3078 Don Mills Road in North York. That’s south of Finch Avenue East.

It marks a reversal of a trend of Beer Store closures that have happened throughout Ontario amid the province’s expanded alcohol marketplace.

The company announced on Tuesday that the Kingston Road store will open on Monday, June 22.

And the location on Don Mills Road will open on Monday, June 29.

Both stores will open at 10 a.m.

“This is great news for customers and those looking to return empty alcohol containers for a deposit refund,” said Ozzie Ahmed, the vice president of retail at The Beer Store.

“We’re excited to be opening stores and welcoming customers. We know how important it is to make returning empties easy and convenient for people across Ontario.”

The Beer Store is working to get customers to return their empties, even launching a campaign that will see ads run through the summer.

With the numerous Beer Store closures that have happened, there are less places for customers to return their empty containers.

The Beer Store said the new Toronto locations will join 17 empty container detailers that started accepting empties in 2026.

You can see where you can return empties on the Beer Store’s website.
