Brampton’s farmers’ markets are always exciting!

Brampton’s farmers’ markets are always exciting! This year, in anticipation of construction starting in downtown Brampton, it’s no surprise that some changes are set to come into effect during farmers’ market season.

This year, the Downtown Market, the Downtown Harvest Market, and the Mount Pleasant Village Market are set to run at varying times from June through November, 2018.

We previously reported that the Downtown Market would have a new location — Rosalea Park at Ken Whillans Dr. and Church St. E. — due to construction in the downtown core.

But that’s no longer the case. According to the City, the Downtown Market will officially remain in downtown Brampton along Main St. for the 2018 season, as construction has been pushed to later in the year.

The Downtown Harvest Market, on the other hand, will take place in Rosalea Park.

“The park has recently undergone a transformation with the removal of the ball diamonds and addition of trees and benches, and we believe will be an excellent location for both our vendors and visitors,” a representative from the city told inbrampton.com

So, the park has been undergoing some upgrades of its own, and it’ll be beautified and made appropriate for the Harvest Market.

Here’s the full schedule for farmers’ markets this year:
