A new GO Station is in the works for Toronto and Metrolinx released a peek at the plans.

The new Bloor-Lansdowne GO Station will be located just south of Bloor Street West and west of Lansdowne Avenue on the Barrie line, Metrolinx said on its website.

The station will provide more flexibility for commuters travelling to Union Station and a new option to venture north out of the city, Metrolinx said.

Travellers can also connect to the GO Kitchener line or Pearson International Airport via Bloor GO/UP Express, as well as Lansdowne and Dundas West TTC subway stations.

Bloor-Lansdowne GO Station will feature a new multi-use path, connecting north to the future Davenport Diamond Greenway and planned extension of the West Toronto Railpath to the south.
