If so, you might be interested to hear that a unique event is coming to the University of Toronto–Mississauga (UTM) that will allow enthusiastic entrepreneurs to compete for some pre-seed money.

Every year, ICUBE–which offers students and community youth early-stage business development and commercialization services–hosts PITCH, a pitch competition to showcase local startups, and help them earn some pre-seed cash.

This year’s keynote is Mississauga-based entrepreneur and UTM alumni Carl Rodrigues, the President, CEO and founder of SOTI, a well-known provider of mobile and IoT management solutions. Rodrigues is known as the person that built a $1 billion firm in his basement in Mississauga.
