Here’s How to Get Ice Cream Delivered to Your Door in Mississauga

While I always do our best to celebrate summer (it is short, after all), I understand that not everyone wants to spend too much time outdoors when a bona fide scorcher is underway—even if that trek into the outside world involves ice cream.
Fortunately for ice cream lovers, you can now get your ice cold treat delivered straight to your door (the one that separates you and your AC from the hot hot sun).
To celebrate National Ice Cream Month (yes, that's a thing), Baskin-Robbins will be partnering with Uber Eats to deliver ice cream directly to customers' doors in select cities (including Mississauga).
"After a successful delivery pilot program in the Ontario market, Baskin-Robbins’ popular line up of pre-pack ice cream tubs, fresh packs (of any available flavour), ice cream cakes and polar pizza ice cream treats will now be available for delivery through Uber Eats," the company said in a recent press release.
Baskin-Robbins says residents in over 20 communities will be able to order their treats during the hot summer months—and all throughout the year—through the Uber Eats app.
Uber Eats and Baskin-Robbins are currently offering a special "Ice Cream Sundays" promotion, through which customers will receive a discount of $10 off Baskin-Robbins orders of $20 or more from participating locations on Uber Eats in Canada.
The promotion takes place on Sundays, July 8 through July 29.
This month, Baskin-Robbins is also reintroducing Beaver Tails pastry ice cream as its Flavour of the Month, so if you're into the classic Canadian pastry, you're in luck. Baskin-Robbins also says that $0.10 from each Beaver Tails scoop sold will be donated to Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada.
So if you want some ice cream, you don't necessarily have to leave your house to get it. If that's not a sign that we're living in the future, I don't know what is.
