Are you ready for Brampton’s upcoming election?
Brampton’s municipal election is happening on Monday, October 22, 2018, and while that’s over six months away, there is something you can do to be prepared before you hit the polling stations in the fall.
You could check if you’re on the preliminary list of electors using VoterLookup.ca, which is maintained by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation.
This is the first step to a faster polling process, so it may also save you some time when it comes to voting.

What do you have to do?
First click here to get to the website.
Then, follow the prompts. You’ll have to read the homepage and click “I Agree” to say that the information you’re providing is accurate.
Next you’ll be taken to a page titled “Am I on the Preliminary List of Municipal & School Board Electors?”
You just have to enter your municipality, full name, date of birth, and either your home address or your 19-digit assessment roll number that’s on your Property Assessment Notice or your municipal tax bill.
When you hit “Search” you’ll reach a page that tells you if you’re confirmed as a resident elector in Brampton, and how many potential electors there are at your home address.
Finally, hit “Next” and you’re good to go.
This year, Bramptonians will be voting to elect the following city positions:
- Mayor
- City Councillor
- Regional Councillor
- School Board Trustee
- Peel Regional Chair
