Milton residents who are interested in learning how to grow their own vegetable gardens will be able to do so at an upcoming event.

The event will take place at the Milton Public Library in the Teal Program Room on Saturday, June 18 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

It will feature Grace Moores, a member of the Milton District Horticultural Society, who will be sharing tips on soil, seeds, spacing, how to protect plants from critters and disease and more.

Moores, who has been a member of the society for over eight years, currently heads up Milton’s largest Community Garden with over 30 plots available for gardeners to rent.

Moores has also been growing vegetables at Sunny Mount Community Garden since its opening in 2016.

At the event, Moores will be covering all topics necessary in order for residents to successfully start a vegetable garden.
