Here’s a Look at Almost Every Christmas Event in Mississauga

Although some people are wary of breaking out their Christmas decor and getting fully in the spirit in mid-November, now is actually the perfect time to start preparing for the holiday season.
Especially since the City of Mississauga is hosting a number of events over the coming weeks.
While some events are huge–such as the annual Light up the Square event at Celebration Square–others are more quaint (and even have some historical appeal).
Here’s a look at some city-run events that might put you in the holiday spirit:
Cooking Edwardian Christmas “Downton Style”

Want to sip mulled cider as you prepare, cook and sit down to a Downton Abbey-inspired Christmas dinner? Of course you do. You can also tour the festive historic house and then take your recipes home to recreate a holiday meal for your family and friends.

This annual event involves skating (in fact, it marks the opening of the Celebration Square rink), live entertainment, interactive activities for all ages and a Holiday Street Market.
Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations in support of the Mississauga Food Bank.

Log Cabin at the Bradley Museum

Experience a traditional pioneer Christmas celebration with carollers, family activities and crafts. Get your holiday shopping off to a great start with local vendors selling handmade goods.
