While rising interest rates have cooled off a hot real estate market, premium luxury homes on the market in Oakville still remain a prime target for those who can afford them.

Though the average price of home in Oakville has fallen 11 per cent in the last year to $1,415,238, the cost of a custom built Morrison home continues to climb.

Prices have risen nine per cent from last year where an average cost of a Morrison build would fetch $4,081,375.

Topping the list as Zoocasa’s most expensive home sold in Oakville in January is a stunner located at 10 Maple Grove Dr.

This distinctive single-floor luxury condominium sold for $5.5M, a good deal above the October 2022 list price of 4,650,900, but below the recent asking price of $5,750,000.

With an outstanding view of Lake Ontario, the impressive 4249-square-foot condo has two bedrooms, three bathrooms and four underground parking spots.

Located in the building closest to the water, it has over 4,000 sq. ft. of living space and a wrap around terrace that is 1,745-sq. ft.

Maintenance fees are $3,022 for a suite that includes a Creston Home Smart System, automatic privacy window coverings in every room and in-ceiling audio.
