Here are the weirdest hotel room service requests in Canada and beyond

Hotel guests don’t just order room service breakfast these days.
A new report from Hotels.com looked at some of the “wildest room service orders” in more than 400 partner hotels worldwide.
“By asking hotels to reveal the secrets behind their most memorable stays, we discovered that these ‘innsights’ have actually inspired services available to guests today,” said Melanie Fish, vice president of Global Public Relations at Hotels.com.
“From guitar concierges to pet healers, hotels are catering to travellers’ unique demands, which may well become the norm.”
Some of the unique demands were revealed in the report.
One of the most entitled requests might have been this one: “an Evian-filled bathtub so a child can bathe in the purest water.”
Pet people might appreciate this request. One guest asked for a customized allergen menu for their pet (gluten free, dairy free, etc.).
Odd food requests include burnt toast, a caviar hot dog and fresh goat milk, the report found.
And one guest may have had a monkey secretly tucked away when they asked for two kilograms of bananas from room service.
Some hotels are adapting to these increasingly odd room service requests, the report said.
A hotel in Japan, W Osaka, installed a ‘Whatever/Whenever’ button for guests to order anything, anytime.
Hotel X Toronto goes beyond standard room service with its “Surprise and Delight” room decor. The hotel can transform your room with romantic rose petals, a bouquet of flowers, candles or festive balloons, the report stated.
The report also revealed some of the most unusual belongings travellers have left behind in hotels.
