As Christmas approaches, it’s a great time to go out for a drive and see homes with beautiful lights.
There are wonderful light displays such as Illumi in Mississauga and the Winter Festival of Lights in Niagara Falls.
But many residents put in so much extra effort, it would make Clark Griswold (National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation) envious.
A recent post on the Mississauga Reddit page pointed to some of the best places to see lights in the city.
Meadowvale West
A home at 6602 Tenth Line West, near Aquitaine Road gets top votes on social media. The owners fill the front yard with lights and ornaments.
“Worth checking out when it is dark and lit to full Griswold glory!” one person wrote on Reddit.
“I live close by. The display on this one is incredible! These guys are passionate about it and one up themselves every year,” another person wrote.

“my family would drive down Mississauga road Christmas eve at night to see all the big house’s lights,” one person wrote on Reddit.
Lorne Park
Another area with large homes is Lorne Park. People on Reddit suggest Crescent Street as a place to check out in that neighbourhood.
“Crescent road in Mississauga has so many houses with amazing decorations,” one person wrote.
Streetsville
People recommend 5349 Vail Court in Streetsville as the best home for decorations. The display pops with so many lights, the residents must be huge Christmas fans.
“I am convinced that this is where Mr and Mrs Claus live!” wrote Saheli Sen on Instagram.
It looks like the home is ready for visitors in 2024.
“Drove by today, the lights are up!” wrote one person on Reddit.
