Kerr Street Mission Market is hoping Oakville residents will continue their generosity beyond the traditional season of giving.

The days following the holidays often see a big drop in donations, but the KSM Food Co-op knows the needs in its community don’t change.

The local mission is hoping to see that traditional holiday compassion extended and is asking residents give what they can to help them stock their shelves so they can provide the basic necessities for their families.

“If you’re able, please help stock our shelves & share (with) your network,” Kerr Street Mission said in a tweet Thursday. “Our market can run because of the kindness of our community. Thank you!”

Items in specific need include instant coffee, coffee creamer, peanut butter and jam, pancake mix, cake mix, canned fruit, apple sauce and Quinoa.
