Heavy police presence on scene for investigation in Mississauga

Residents are being asked to avoid the area of an ongoing police investigation in Mississauga’s Erin Mills area.
At around noon on Saturday, Peel Regional Police confirmed a heavy police presence in the area of Erin Mills Parkway and South Millway.
The reason for the investigation has not yet been disclosed by police.
The public is asked to stay out of the area until further notice.

UPDATE: Officers were called to a residence in the area, which has since been cleared by police. The reason for the call has not yet been confirmed.
Police say there are no safety concerns for residents in the area.
