Heavy police presence in the Niagara Falls area with a person in crisis

Police are urging residents to steer clear of the area as they are working to resolve an incident involving a person in crisis.
On Saturday (Jun. 17) shortly after 5 p.m., police were dispatched to area of Buchanan Ave/ Kitchener St for an investigation dealing with a person in distress.
Police are in the early stages of the investigation and have not released any information regarding the individual needing help or the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Residents are advised to stay out of the area while police assess the situation.
