Heavy downpours and thunderstorms possible for Hamilton

Heavy downpours and thunderstorms could hit Hamilton today (July 2).

Environment Canada recently announced that a special weather statement is in effect for the City of Hamilton.

Environment Canada says showers and thunderstorms could bring 30 to 40 mm of rain to affected regions this afternoon and early evening.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible, as is marble-sized hail.
