It could feel like 38 C with 'heat event' in southern Ontario

Southern Ontario is set to see another warm up over the next couple of days.

Environment Canada said that portions of the region could see “a marginal two-day heat event” beginning on Wednesday.

That includes the Ottawa area, south through the Greater Toronto Area, Hamilton, Niagara, and Windsor (location A on the maps below).

“Daytime maximum temperatures of 29 to 31 C and overnight minimum temperatures near 19 C are expected,” forecasters said for both Wednesday and Thursday.

Humidex values are expected to range from 34 to 38.

The “heat event” could come to an end Thursday evening, Environment Canada said.

The hot temperatures could bring a risk of heat-related illness.
