A “heat event” is expected to impact parts of southern Ontario later this week.
It’s not expected to be as hot as last week, but high temperatures in the 30s are possible.
Environment Canada’s significant weather outlooks for Wednesday and Thursday say hot weather is expected to impact areas stretching from Ottawa, south through the Greater Toronto Area to Windsor (location A on the maps below).
“A marginal heat event is expected to begin over portions of southern Ontario Wednesday,” forecasters said.
Daytime highs of 29 C to 32 C are possible with humidex values of 33 to 38.
However, forecasters said there is uncertainty with the forecasted high temperatures.
Overnight lows of 19 C to 20 C are expected.
Come Thursday, highs of 29 C to 32 C are possible as well, with humidex values of 33 to 38.
But forecasters again said there is still uncertainty in the forecast.
“There is currently uncertainty in the forecasted daytime high temperatures due to the uncertainty with the timing of a cold front pushing over southern Ontario,” Environment Canada said.
