Hazardous tree will close busy Burlington road

A tree that has the potential to cause some danger in Burlington is coming down.

The tree is located on North Shore Boulevard East and will be removed over several days this week.

The removal will mean North Shore will be closed from LaSalle Park Road to Belhaven Crescent on both April 9 and April 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

City officials fear that if the tree is not taken down it could eventually fall onto the road.

During the two days access to LaSalle Park will be maintained, and through traffic will be detoured around the block as shown on the map.
