Ontario budged good news for brampton transit and housing

Changes are coming to Brampton’s master plan and the City wants to hear from residents to help plan for the future.

This City is working on a new strategic plan for Brampton to meet its 2040 Vision that will serve as a roadmap for delivering “what is most important to the community.”

An online survey is open until May 19 and the City is asking residents for input and feedback to help develop the plan and shape the City’s priorities over the next decade.

The new strategic plan will focus on six key areas:

  • Culture and Diversity
  • Environmental Resilience and Sustainability
  • Government and Leadership
  • Growing Urban Centres and Neighbourhoods
  • Health and Well-Being
  • Transit and Connectivity

“It will be a living plan reflective of the community that sets the context for the City’s budgets, master plans, projects, services, and resources,” the City said in a release.

“Our Council is focused on providing strategic direction to help build a city that is innovative, inclusive, sustainable and agile to meet the needs of our residents and businesses,” said Chief Administrative Officer Marlon Kallideen. “We are seeking input from residents so we can continue to build on this momentum to chart our path forward and ensure that Brampton remains a place where people want to live, work and play.”

The survey is open until May 19 and can be found by visiting www.brampton.ca/engage.
