The City of Brampton needs more feedback from residents to better understand how to tackle the citywide parking plan.

Brampton is reviewing its parking strategy to identify the future needs of residents and businesses, while also improving infrastructure planning.

The plan will cover parking of automobiles, bicycles and trucks, and will help the City and the Region of Peel by identifying parking issues and opportunities, assess parking needs, and recommend policies and changes.

The City is holding its third public and final stakeholder engagement session on the parking plan this Thursday (Dec. 15). The virtual info session will give residents a chance to share their thoughts and ideas around parking in Brampton, and the City says feedback will play a role in the masterplan.

Residents and stakeholders, including businesses, are invited to an online engagement session on Thursday, Jan. 13 at 6:00 p.m.

The parking plan is being developed in two parts. Phase one will review links between parking issues and the city’s economic, social and environmental goals, while the second phase will review recommendations for a business and financial parking model.
