New ice skating path in Mississauga
A new ice skating path will open for public use this winter at Port Credit Memorial Park in Mississauga.

The Town of Halton Hills has narrowed down its outdoor ice strategy into a Top 5 list, and now they’re looking for more feedback.

Last winter’s initial survey allowed Town staff to produce a report that focused on the priorities of local residents and this year’s survey is looking to rank them.

Here are the five choices being offered:

  • Improve Natural Ice Rink Program
  • Refrigerated Facility within the Gellert Park Expansion
  • Fairy Lake Ice Program
  • Synthetic Ice Surface for Special Events
  • Formal Volunteer Ice Rink Program

The options show the most feasible locations for outdoor ice facilities based on the technical review. The final approach may include some or all the options, depending on the level of affordability and timing of the implementation.

The survey is open until March 24 here.
