Two Brampton residents have become millionaires through different ways on different days.
Leeann Monaco, 45, had a winning ticket for a Maxmillions prize of $1 million in the June 15 Lotto Max draw.
“I scanned my tickets using the OLG lottery app,” said Monaco. “It was overwhelming.”
Monaco said she shared the good news with her best friend and sister right away. “We all cried happy tears!”
The winning ticket was purchased at Pari’s Mount Pleasant Convenience on Commuter Dr. in Brampton.
A few weeks earlier, Luc Daignault of Brampton said “yes” to Encore and all seven of his numbers matched in the May 28 Lotto Max draw for him to claim a $1 million prize as well.
Daignault, a 54-year-old father, said his ticket was a Quick Pick. “I always add Encore to my tickets”
When the graphic designer checked his ticket, he said he was in shock. “It hasn’t sunk in yet,” he said.
He plans to invest his winnings for his children’s future and purchase some little treats for others.
The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada on Hallstone Rd. in Brampton.
