Handgun, Taser and drugs seized after argument gets ugly in Brampton

A Brampton man is facing drug and firearm charges after police say a shouting match got physical on Friday.

Around 11:35 a.m. on March 17, Peel Regional Police say two people got into an argument at a residence near Chinguacousy Road and Williams Parkway in Brampton.

But police say the verbal exchange turned into a physical struggle one of the individuals had a firearm.

A 24-year-old from Brampton was arrested and police say they searched a residence in Brampton and found a Glock 19 handgun, ammunition, a Taser, and a large quantity of drugs.

Michael Ramos, 24, of Brampton has been charged with:

  • Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession of a loaded Restricted firearm without a license
  • Carry Concealed Weapon and Possession of a Firearm knowing serial number defaced
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance

The accused was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. None of the allegations have been proven in court.
