Work on major Hamilton street expected to slow traffic

The City of Hamilton warns motorists travelling northbound on Upper Ottawa St. between Broker Dr. and Sandalwood Ave. to be prepared for lane restrictions tomorrow (May 25).
There will be lane restrictions in the northbound direction on Upper Ottawa St between Broker Dr and Sandalwood Ave on Thursday, May 25 between 9am – 3pm for catch basin repairs. Motorists can expect delays. pic.twitter.com/nj8DzBn8l7

According to City officials, these restrictions will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to repair storm drains.
The drains are responsible for managing stormwater runoff and preventing flooding, They need periodic maintenance and repairs to minimize potential hazards on the road.
Drivers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and anticipate potential traffic backups during this period.
