Hamilton's Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway to close for extended period for maintenance

Hamilton’s Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway will be closed in both directions for maintenance, starting May 26 at 11 p.m. for the eastbound lanes and May 27 at 10 a.m. for the westbound lanes.

The City says it will be completing spot resurfacing and asphalt repairs, bridge and signage repairs, pavement markings, ditching, catch basin cleaning, and vegetation maintenance.

The eastbound lanes will be closed from Golf Links Rd. to the Upper Red Hill Valley Parkway off-ramp. Westbound, lanes will be closed from the Red Hill Valley Parkway to Mohawk Rd.

“Traffic is expected to increase during this maintenance weekend, and motorists should allow extra time and use alternate routes where possible,” says the City.

The work is expected to be completed by May 30 at 4 a.m. However, the CIty says the dates and times may change depending on the weather.
