Hamilton’s Lincoln Alexander Parkway re-opens after 11 hour investigation into 6 vehicle collision

It took 11 hours for police to re-open Hamilton’s Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway after a six-vehicle crash Thursday (May 19) caused a traffic nightmare for travellers.
The collision involving one tractor-trailer and five passenger vehicles occurred just after 6 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the Linc, east of Golf Links Rd. The parkway remained closed from Garth St. to Highway 403 until about 5 a.m. Friday.

A 50-year-old Hamilton man suffered serious injuries, but police say he is in stable condition. The remaining individuals suffered minor injuries and have since been released from hospital, according to police.
The collision reconstruction unit has taken over the investigation.
