That top-of-the-table tilt, and championship-game rematch between Forge FC and rival Pacific FC has been put off for a bit.

The Canadian Premier League (CPL) has announced two schedule changes for Forge, who will now play just a single league game next week at Tim Hortons Field. Their home data against reigning league champions Pacific FC has been moved from Aug. 16 (Tuesday) to Oct. 5 (7 p.m., on a Wednesday). The match has been postponed due to Pacific FC advancing to the Round of 16 in the Scotiabank Concacaf League.

Forge and York United FC will also have a later start time for their game on Aug. 20 at Tim Hortons Field. They will kick off at 7 p.m. on that night, 2½ hours later than originally scheduled.

Forge (11-2-4) are currently leading the CPL with 38 points, three clear of second-place Pacific FC (9-5-4) while also having one game in hand. They are away on Friday against Cavalry FC in Calgary (9 p.m. ET, ONESoccer).
