The 2022 JUNO Awards nominations were announced on Tuesday (March 1) and a couple of Hamilton bands are in the running to win some hardware.
Hamilton’s The Dirty Nil and Arkells are both up for the 2022 Rock Album of the Year Juno. The Dirty Nil for their album ‘F***k Art’ and the Arkells for ‘Blink Once.’
Having Nick Nurse say my band’s name is a real boost today! Congrats to all the homies nominated! https://t.co/BMPdmUZgYU

Both groups are no strangers to the Juon spotlight: The Dirty Nil won breakthrough group of the year in 2017 and Arkells have seven Juno wins to their name to date.
The Arkells have also been nominated for 2022 Group of the Year and are slated to perform at the awards show, which is scheduled for May 15 at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto.
The band is so excited to be a part of the awards ceremony, that they are already asking fans to weigh in on which song they should play for the event.
Honoured! We’re up for two awards at this years @thejunoawards and performing at the show. What Blink Once song should we do? Or do you wanna hear a new one? Let’s brainstorm. @umusic / @virginmusic pic.twitter.com/7C05qYb1Tw
