The Hamilton Police Service identified the city’s fourth homicide victim of 2022 as Danielle Strauss.
The 38-year-old Hamilton woman was found dead inside her apartment at 195 Ferguson Ave. North at around 11 a.m. on Nov. 10.
Police believe she had been dead for three or four days, noting that the death was “suspicious.”
Video from the apartment, which is a “transition to home” residence operated by Wesley Urban Ministries, has been recovered by police.
Officials said Tuesday they’re looking to speak to four youths seen leaving Strauss’ residence: two white 16-year-old males, one white 14-year-old female, and one Black 14-year-old female.
“Investigators are encouraging these youths to contact the homicide unit, as we believe they have direct information about this homicide investigation,” issued Hamilton Police. “Homicide detectives continue to work at identifying these individuals so they can be located.”
Police say the cause of death has not been released because it is considered evidence.insauga's Editorial Standards and Policies advertising
