It is will become easier to fly out of Hamilton to Vancouver.

Lynx Air is adding seasonal offerings between the John C. Munro International Airport and Vancouver International Airport. Bookings, which start at $89 for a a one-way flight, opened on Wednesday. Lynx states that the thrice-weekly service will commence on April 16.

Six different airlines fly out of Munro. Per flyhamilton.ca, the only through flight to British Columbia lands in Abbotsford, which is also in the province’s Lower Mainland.

Lynx adds that it intends for Hamilton-to-Vancouver service to increase to five times per week. Lynx is also adding service from Toronto to Kelowna, B.C., in the Okanagan Valley. Both routes will be “through flights” that stop in Calgary, allowing passengers to have just a single boarding pass and the option to check bags through to their final destination.

All told, Lynx, a 16-year-old carrier that is based in Calgary, says it has scaled up to 16 destinations and will offer more than 240 flights per week across North America by this summer. It has recently added flights to both Montréal and Fredericton, N.B., in eastern Canada.
