The Canadian Premier League (CPL) Semifinals will take place this weekend. In one match, Forge FC (1) will host York United FC (4) at 3 p.m. on Sunday (Nov. 21). If Forge FC win, they will host the CPL Final on Sunday, Nov. 28 — unless the Hamilton Tiger-Cats finish in second place in the Canadian Football League standings.

If the Ticats win this weekend in Regina and/or the Montreal Alouettes lose at home to the Ottawa Redblacks, the Ticats would host the CFL Division Semifinals on Nov. 28 against Montreal — bumping the CPL Final in Hamilton to the following weekend on Sunday, Dec. 5.

If you’re a betting person, the odds favour the CFL Semis being played on Nov. 28 and the CPL Final being played on Dec. 5.

If you’re superstitious and believe in jinxes, forget what you just read.
