A Hamilton senior plans to share his newfound wealth with family after collecting his second big lottery prize in less than a year.

According to OLG, Hamilton’s Robert MacDonald matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the July 10, 2021, Lottario draw to win $100,000.

MacDonald won $50,000 in an Ontario 49 draw in October 2020.

MacDonald, who is a regular lottery player, said in a recent press release that his favourite games are Lottario, Ontario 49, Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49.

“I always add ENCORE,” he said while collecting his most recent winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

The 77-year-old said he always like to scan his tickets to see if they are winners and when he found out he won for the second time in less than a year he said: “I am feeling very lucky. If you stay positive, your time will come as well!”

MacDonald said he plans to invest some of the money but will also do a bit of splurging on the people he loves most – his family.

The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Fennell Avenue on the mountain.
