The City of Hamilton has announced a pair of road closures that will each last for several weeks.

Beginning Friday (Sept. 17), the city will close Brock Rd between Crooks Hollow Rd and Brock Rd for a culvert replacement. The job is expected to take about four weeks and wrap up on or before Oct. 15, weather permitting.

Local access will be maintained on both sides of the work zone but there will be no through access. Motorists are advised to take an alternate route during this time.

Beginning Monday (Sept. 20), DeFaveri Construction will close Fifty Road between South Service Road and Barton Street to safely complete the installation of a sanitary sewer and road reconstruction. The work is expected to last three months, until Dec. 20.

Traffic delays are likely in the area and motorists are advised to follow the posted detour.

Neither closure is expected to affect Hamilton Street Railway bus routes.
