Hamilton residence targeted in Friday night shooting, one person injured

Police are investigating and searching for the suspects of a Friday night (Mar. 25) shooting in Hamilton.

Shortly after 11:00 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the area of Margaret St at Main St W (west of Locke St S) after a specific residence was targeted by two unknown suspects.

“One victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the shooting,” said police. “Police are treating this incident as targeted.”

Police are searching for two suspects who allegedly fled the area in a white vehicle. The first is described as a white male in his late 20s, 5’8”, wearing a black baseball cap, black hoodie and light jeans.

The second suspect is described as a light skinned black male in his mid 20’s, 6’2”, with a thin build, wearing red hoodie and black jeans.

Police are asking residents in the area to review their security surveillance cameras around the time of incident.
