Hamilton power outage affecting hundreds of homes, businesses

A power outage in lower Stoney Creek is affecting 1,538 homes and businesses Wednesday morning (March 31).

Alectra Utilities is reporting the outage in the area of Nash Road South to Green Road and Queenston to Ridge Road.

The utility provider says the cause of the outage is an overhead distribution problem and crews have been dispatched to make repairs.

Power is expected to be restored by 1 p.m.
