The Hamilton Police Service deployed drones to assist in their investigation of a three-vehicle crash that sent two people to hospital and closed Centennial Parkway Monday morning.

In a tweet, police said its Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) would assist the investigation.

The collision happened around 5 a.m., leaving a 39-year-old with minor injuries and a 35-year-old in critical condition; however, their condition has been upgraded to stable.

Police say a third individual declined to go to the hospital.

A two-kilometre-stretch on Centennial is closed in both directions from King St. East to Ridge Rd.

Police are asking motorists to avoid the area.
