Daniel Tomassetti appears to still be on the run.
The man accused of shooting and killing 28-year-old Mila Barberi while she sat in her vehicle in a Vaughan parking lot has been wanted since 2017.
The Hamilton Police Service distributed a media release on Tuesday morning, reminding residents of the $50,000 reward being offered for information on Tomassetti’s whereabouts.
Police believe the target in the alleged botched mob hit was Barberi’s boyfriend, Saviero Serrano. He was also shot on Mar. 14, 2017, but survived.
Hamilton Police Service and York Regional Police continue to seek the public’s assistance in locating wanted person Daniel Tomassetti in relation to two homicides.

Serrano’s father has been linked to organized crime in the York region, and police in Hamilton have connected the Vaughan parking lot shooting to the murder of notorious Hamilton crime boss Angelo Musitano, who was shot and killed as he arrived home in his pick-up truck on May 2, 2017 — around six weeks after Barberi’s murder.
Tomassetti is wanted as part of a multi-jurisdictional investigation, dubbed Project SCOPA, between Hamilton, York, and Niagara police, as well as the RCMP.
