After a year-long investigation, Hamilton Police have arrested a man in connection with the death of Gerald Lawrence.

After a year-long investigation, Hamilton Police have arrested a man in connection with the death of Gerald Lawrence.

On Sept. 29, 2019, emergency crews responded to apartment 307 at 555 Queenston Rd. E  in Stoney Creek for a 911 call “involving a person suffering from obvious traumatic injuries to his body”.

Police said it was later determined by a post mortem that 76-year-old Gerald Lawrence had been stabbed to death.

Just after 3 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 30), 48-year-old Sandro De Oliveira of Hamilton was arrested and charged with 2nd-degree murder.
