Hamilton Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection to a commercial break and enter in east Hamilton last month.

According to police, shortly after 2:30 a.m. on April 11, 2022, a man entered an automotive shop near Centennial Parkway and Barton Street by kicking in the business’s garage door.

The suspect then accessed the key dropbox and took the keys for a brown, 2012 Nissan Juke and then fled the area in the stolen car.

On the evening of April 22, police said they were tipped off that a car matching the description of the stolen Nissan was spotted in Dundas and was possibly being driven by an impaired driver.

When police responded to the report a short time later, officers found the stolen car abandoned near Dundas Driving Park and its operator nowhere in sight.

The suspect in the commercial break and enter is described as:

  • In his 20’s
  • Thin/muscular build
  • 5’6″-5’10”
  • Black spring jacket
  • Black pants
  • Black shoes with white sole
  • Clean shaven
  • Short dirty blonde/brown hair

Hamilton Police said they are appealing for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in these investigations.
