Hamilton Police look to ID knife-wielding suspect in east end gas station robbery

Hamilton Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection to a robbery at a gas station in the east end in late January.

According to a press release issued Thursday (Feb. 17), police said that the incident in question occured on Jan. 25 at around 1 a.m. when a man, armed with what police say appears to be a kitchen-style knife, entered the gas station and demanded cash from the clerk working there.

Police said the suspect fled the scene after obtaining the cash and no one was injured.

The suspect, however, remains outstanding and police are hoping to identify him. He is described as:

  • 30 to 40 years old
  • Caucasian
  • 5’5 – 5’8, average build
  • Wearing a black winter jacket, black pants, and brown snow boots. Also wearing a white medical mask.
